Au French Throwdown, vous pouvez participer en Elite, RX, Intermédiaire, Scaled, Masters 35-39, Masters 40-44, Masters 45+, Masters 50+, Teens 16-17 en individuel ou bien Equipe Elite, RX et Intermédiaire (équipe de 4, 2 hommes et 2 femmes)

10Quelles sont les catégories représentées lors de la phase finale ?
Toutes les catégories disponibles lors des qualifications seront représentées lors de la finale le 28, 29 et 30 Juin au Vélodrome National de St Quentin en Yvelines
11En équipe, les coéquipiers doivent-ils être ensemble pour les qualifications ?
Non, il n’est pas nécessaire de venir d’être ensemble pour les qualifications
12En équipe, les coéquipiers doivent-ils venir de la même box ?
Non, il n’est pas nécessaire que les coéquipiers viennent de la même box
13Puis je m’inscrire dans plusieurs catégories ?
Oui il est possible de s’inscrire dans plusieurs catégories. En individuel, il faudra utiliser des adresses email différentes. En revanche si vous souhaitez vous inscrire en individuel et en équipe, vous pourrez utiliser le même email.
14Puis je m’inscrire en équipe et en individuel ?
Oui, vous pouvez utiliser le même email pour le faire. Les qualifications individuel et équipe ne sont pas en même temps ce qui vous permettra de faire les qualifications en équipe sereinement
15Est-ce que le French Throwdown va inviter des athlètes directement à la finale ?
En 2019, Le CrossFit French Throwdown ne donnera aucune invitation aux athlètes non issus des qualifications
16Où puis-je trouver les billets spectateurs ?
Les billets spectateurs seront en vente sur notre site prochainement
17Avez vous des offres spectateurs pour des groupes ?

Les catégories qualificatives sont les catégories Elite homme et femme ainsi que la catégorie Equipe Elite

Oui vous êtes même invité gracieusement pour le French Throwdown qui est avant tout un rdv des affiliées et un événement communautaire

Individual qualifiers will take place from the 19th of April to the 1st of May. Team qualifiers will take place from the 6th to 13th of May

No, the French Throwdown is open to all whether you train in an affiliate or not
9Should I be French to take part ?
No anyone can sign up
10Which categories will have a final ?
All categories will have a final on the 28, 29 and 30th of June 2019 at the Vélodrome National de St Quentin en Yvelines
11As a team, should team mates be together for the qualifiers ?
No, it is not necessary for the team mates to be together for the qualifiers
12As a team, should team mates be from the same box ?
No, team mates do not have to be from the same box
13Can I sign up in multiple categories ?
Yes it is possible to register in several categories. As an individual, you will need to use different emails to sign up. However if you want to register as an individual and a team, then you can use the same email.
14Can I sign up as a team and as an individual ?
Yes, you can even use the same email to do it. Team and individual qualifiers are not at the same time so you can take your time doing both seriously
15Will the French Throwdown distribute final invitations to athletes or teams ?
In 2019, the CrossFit French Throwdown team will not give away any invitations to athletes who have not taken part in the qualifiers
16Where can I find spectator tickets ?
Spectator tickets will be on sale soon
17Do you offer discounts for groups ?

18I’m trying to get to the CrossFit Games, which categories can get me there ?
Categories that can get you an invite to the games if you win them are the Elite men and women individual categories as well as the Elite Team category.
19As a box owner, do I get a discount at the French Throwdown ?
As a CrossFit box owner, you are invited as a spectator for free. The French Throwdown is above all a community event and an excuse to gather affiliates from around the globe.

The top man and woman of the 2020 French Throwdown final will receive an invitation to compete at the 2020 CrossFit Games. Competing in this category, you will test your fitness against the best of the best. In this category, you will do the qualifiers as prescribed. Following the qualifiers, the top 25 will be invited as elite along with the top 10 world and top 5 in France after the Open. The category is open to all. You are looking for performance and are an experienced CrossFitter. You have been practicing CrossFit regularly for several years and feel proficient in all workouts. You are proficient with weightlifting and gymnastic complex movements (muscle ups, handstand pushups). You do the CrossFit Games open as RX. You finished in the top of your region and were close to qualifying or qualified for regionals. You have taken part in several qualifiers and/or competitions. You are looking for a challenge. You want to measure yourself against the best athletes.

You should be able to do :

This category is for athletes who seek performance as a long term goal and who have already taken part in competitions. These athletes will also usually place well during the CrossFit Games Open. In this category, you will do the qualifiers as prescribed in the Rx category. Following the qualifiers, the top 20 will be invited as rx. The category is open to all. You have been practicing CrossFit regularly for several years and feel proficient in most workouts. You are looking for a long term goal and have a goal in mind for the future. You are proficient with weightlifting and gymnastic movements (muscle ups, handstand pushups). You do the CrossFit Games open as RX. You finished in the top 2000 of your region. You have taken part in several qualifiers You are looking for a challenge. You want to measure yourself against the best future European athletes.

You should be able to do :

This category is for the majority of the people in your box and is made of weekend warriors and aspiring competitors. You can do most of your box workouts as RX but have to scale from time to time. In this category, the top 20 will move on to the final.

For the qualifiers, you should be able to do:

Clean and Jerk 1.2x bodyweight
Snatch 0.75x bodyweight
OHS 0.75x bodyweight
Chest to bar Pull-ups
You are able or almost able to do a muscle up
Toes to bar
Double Unders

This category is not for the prestige, nor for the glory of the prize money. It won’t give you the French Throwdown winner title but it is the one that will give a goal to somebody looking for an opportunity to become a Better Human. The category is open to all. If you are looking for functional dominance, you are an Elite-RX athlete, if however you want a goal to help you go beyond your limits, then you are a Scaled athlete. For this category, qualifying workouts will be scaled for this category and accessible to all (you might be lucky and do your first pull-up or double-under). In this category, the top 20 will be qualified to the final.

Our Masters categories are open to all. You will need to be in your age bracket on the 10th of April 2020 at the beginning of the qualifiers. Depending on the category, workouts may differ however please be ready to be tested on all usual CrossFit movements.

We will have the 35-39, 40-44, 45-49 and 50+ category

In the 35-39 category, 20 athletes will move on to the final. In the other categories, 10 athletes will move forward.

The Teens Category is open to 16-17 year olds. Qualifying workouts might differ from the elite, scaled or masters category. The number of workouts will be the same as in the Elite, RX or Intermediate category however the loads and skills required will be scaled for this category. Register in this category if you were in the top 20% during the Open or if you have taken part in the Regionals qualifier for Teens. In this category, the athlete must have the required age on the first day of the qualifiers.
