The French Throwdown 2024 will mark the 11th edition of our competition.
The inception of our event dates back to 2012 when, in collaboration with Reebok, we organized the national fitness championship in Paris.
It was then that we decided to uphold this tradition and host an annual CrossFit competition in Paris during the summer.
The initial editions took place at the National Institute of Sport, Expertise, and Performance (INSEP) from 2013 to 2016 before relocating to Stade Charléty until 2018.
Subsequently, the French Throwdown set its stage at the National Velodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines for three memorable editions. In 2024, the velodrome will be a sports venue as part of the organization for the Paris Olympic Games.
Therefore, the LDLC Arena, a new facility with a capacity of 12,000 seats located in Lyon – Décines and inaugurated in November 2023, will now be the venue for the feats of our athletes and the gathering place for the entire European CrossFit community.
The French Throwdown is now a charitable event in collaboration with the Aladin association. This association aims to raise funds to fulfill the dreams of sick children. Since 2022, all profits from the French Throwdown are donated to Aladin to assist them in making the dreams of dozens of children come true each year.
