Signing up for the French Throwdown qualifications is a great way to test your fitness, but it’s also an opportunity to participate in Europe’s biggest CrossFit competition.
Individually, no less than 340 athletes will compete on the floor of the National Velodrome. For the Team categories, we will see 120 teams give their all to get on the podiums in each category.
In total, the French Throwdown gives the opportunity to 820 athletes to come and rub shoulders with CrossFit practitioners from all over the world.
What categories exist and how many athletes participate in the FTD23 final?
Individually, among the Elites, it will be the 40 best Women and the 40 best Men who will give their all on the competition floor during the final.
For the RX, Intermediate, Scaled and Master 35-39 categories, the top 20 qualifiers will earn their place for the Velodrome.
Regarding the Masters 40-44, Master 45-49, Master 50-54, Master 55+ and Teens categories, it will be the first 10 of the qualifications who will obtain their ticket for the 3 days of competition.
Finally, for the Team categories, whose teams are made up of two women and two men, the 20 best of the Elite qualifications will compete in the Velodrome. For the RX and Intermediate levels, 40 teams in each category will qualify for the final.
The great novelty of this 2023 edition is the creation of the “Team Scaled” category, of which the first 20 qualifying teams will also have the joy of participating in this great CrossFit celebration.
We advise you to look at the standards of each category before choosing yours.
Now that you know all that, there’s no reason not to try your luck to qualify for June 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2023 for the FTD!
Whether you are new to CrossFit, whether you are experienced, whether you prefer to try individually or as a team, regardless of your age or level, there is necessarily the category that will suit you.
